These adorable clear clogs come in 10 sizes: Women's 6 thru 10 and Men's 7 thru 11. They are identical except that the men's also have a clear sole (ladies have a tan sole). The men's are a bit wider and accommodate the women whose feet are a bit wider or longer. (EG: Women's 12 shoe is a Man's 11). (They have also accommodated a few bunions!)

Sock Dyeing Workshop

During our Winter Retreat, this was voted as one of folks' favorite workshops. Join us on Saturday, May 10, 2008 for a sock dyeing workshop from 10:00AM until 1:00PM. Experience the excitement of creating "one of a kind art for your feet!" Cost of workshop covers lunch and all materials necessary for dyeing one pair of socks.

Sheep and Wool Days

at Middleton Place

Visit beautiful Middleton Place near Charleston, SC April 26 & 27, 2008 for the Sheep and Wool Days.

Some of the festivities include sheep dog herding, sheep shearing, wool dyeing, spinning, weaving and wool carding. There will be craft vendors, children's activities and wine & cheese tastings.

Our Winter Retreat was such fun! Ladies began arriving Friday afternoon and continued into the evening.  The folks at the NuWray Inn could not have been more accommodating.  An extra treat was the fact that we completely reserved the Inn and pretty much had the run of the place.

The weather on Friday was a beautiful spring day and it turned winter again on Saturday morning! The weather didn't hamper the fun, however, as we all "weathered the storm" and beautiful colors abounded for our dyeing of sock yarn.

The Artfelt workshop was another hit as it produced absolutely beautiful and unique purses created by the retreat participants.

The other workshops were both challenging and fun. We predict gorgeous projects as a result! Some of us took a break for the special treat of a Yoga class. We relaxed to the calming voice and expert guidance of our instructor, Tracey Leitner. Thanks, Tracey!

We believe our first retreat was a huge success and we've received lots of requests from those who attended to sign them up for the next one!

Due to the overwhelming response to our Retreat, we've decided to offer a one day workshop in Artfelt. Included will be everything you need for this project. Please call as soon as possible to reserve your spot.

Sock Dyeing Workshop in May

Also by popular request, we are offering a repeat workshop in sock dyeing. You will have fun creating your own special colorway for socks or any other project you wish to knit or crochet. Included will be 560 yards of superwash merino wool yarn plus all other materials for dyeing.

I hope your Friday morning is off to a good start. I would like to let you know of a few changes to our January and February calendars.

For starters, "back by popular demand", we have scheduled another moebius cast on demonstration for this Tuesday night, January 22. We will begin around 6:30 PM.

Einstein Jacket by Sally Melville

In addition to our Einstein Jacket class scheduled for Wednesday afternoons in January from 2:00-4:00 PM, we have added an additional class on Thursday afternoons, January 24, 31 & February 7. This is a perfect social project (not a difficult pattern so there is plenty of time to socialize). Please let us know if you would like to join us for this class.

Also, the Peruvian Tweed has arrived and we have six wonderful colors for you to Oooooh and Aaaaah over!

Words cannot do this yarn justice, you will have to come in and feel it for yourself.

On Tuesday evenings in February, we are offering a Knit-A-Long. The project we will focus on is the "Dogi" vest found in the Kimono Knit book by Vicki Square. The Knit-A-Long is free and will be held in conjunction with our regular Open Knitting/Crocheting from 6:00-8:00 PM.
